Since December 2023, I have been appointed Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at TU Delft. I am very excited to take on this new challenge in my career and I would like to thank all the mentors, supervisors and students that contributed to my career.
My research plans spin around the study of multiphase flows in electrochemical systems, making water electrolysis a paradigmatic case. My approach is the use of Direct Numerical Simulations to understand the relation between the different physical mechanisms of such systems and to explore new designs based on micro-engineered electrodes.
My goals are to advance our capabilities to improve electrochemical processes, particularly applied to the energy transition, and to contribute to the education of the new generations of Mechanical Engineers that will make it a reality.
